In the picture above you can see that this friction tab is well on its way to causing trouble (see arrow). These can be glued back but there is an alternative. I have a large supply of L-0 (zero) cassettes. These have no tape inside them. Click on the photo. This is what they look like inside. Made for batch tape loading these are leftovers that were never used. They have the new design tabs that will not come loose (click on the photo again). To use simply remove the screws from the good cassette, take out the empty reels and swap them with the ones from the bad cassette and reassemble. Throw the old shells away.
