The time-lapse Beta VCRs could be easily operated like most consumer Beta VCRs. It had the same functions like record, playback, fast forward, etc. that were standard but the similarity ended there. Navco engineers loaded these workhorses with a wide variety of programming options to cover the most demanding of surveillance situations. Conveniently located switches on the top and front allowed the operator to select a number of set time intervals, matching rates, security codes and other options. But that wasn't all. To communicate with and control the unit remotely an elaborate input array was located on the rear. To decipher and use these additional controls required an extensive technical manual and special programming. Using the remote gave the Navco recorder the flexibility to cover almost any video observation assignment. ©Misterßetamax go to homepage |
